Primobolan Reviewed: How strong is this old school steroid

A quick introduction to Primobolan

Baseball, track and field, biking: All of these professional sports have been plagued by doping scandals in recent years. Doping is, of course, taking sports-banned performance-enhancing drugs, usually steroids. Because of a few bad apples, steroids have gotten a bad rap.

However, anabolic steroids can increase muscle mass for strength training and increase energy levels, letting your work harder in shorter amounts of time. Body-builders use anabolic steroids to improve their performance. Others might use steroids to help them decrease stubborn fat and regulate their weight.

There are two main types of steroids: corticosteroids and anabolic steroids. Corticosteroids are drugs that mimic the body’s natural hormone, cortisol. Anabolic steroids are chemical compounds that are synthetic creations of testosterone, the male sex hormone. Taking anabolic steroids often results in testosterone-related side effects, even in women.

Primobolan is one of the most common steroids, but also one of the most misunderstood.

What is Primobolan?

Primobolan is a steroid that can be taken orally or injected directly into the muscle. It is a methenolone acetate. Methenolone is the scientific term for anabolic steroids. Esters are synthetic lubricants, allowing steroids to be taken in pill form.

Methenolone acetate was first introduced in 1962 for medical purposes, but quickly became favored by competitive athletes to help bulk up with muscle while burning off more fat. Both the injectable Primobolan and the oral steroid have been banned by the FDA in the United States and can be difficult to find in other countries as well.

It is believed that New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez was referring to Primobolan when he admitted to using performance-enhancing steroids during his career.

In 1962, a pharmaceutical company in the United States known as Squibb released a form of methenolone, known as Nibal and Nibal Depot. The Nibal Depot was injectable, while the Nibal was taken orally. At the time, the steroids were intended for medical use. Later, the company stopped producing the Nibal brand and the rights to the methenolone was sold to a German pharmaceutical company called Schering.

It was this company that discovered methenolone’s use for building muscle and promoted it as Primobolan, an injectable and oral performance-enhancing steroid instead of a medical product. In 1993, the company stopped producing the injectable steroid and focused on the oral steroid.

The anabolic steroid has been banned in the U.S. since 1989, making it illegal to sell or purchase in the United States. Other countries followed suit, but it is still available online or in countries such as Spain and Turkey.

Benefits of Primobolan

Primobolan isn’t just for athletes. It has been used medically to help people who suffer from malnutrition and prescribed to underweight children to prevent wasting diseases. The steroid increases protein synthesis in the body, which means more of the food ingested becomes energy instead of fat.

It’s no wonder why athletes use prefer this steroid to increase their muscle mass without adding unwanted weight gains. On the contrary, Primobolan encourages fat loss in the body. Another benefit is a healthier immune system that helps prevent lost time due to illness.

The benefits of Primobolan differ for men and women who take the steroids. It makes both sexes stronger, but women see more of an increase in strength than men experience. Both men and women will benefit with more defined and harder muscled, particularly in the shoulder area.

It’s important to note that Primobolan has a weaker muscle building potential than other steroids if taken orally instead of injected directly into the muscles. This is due to the product’s low bioavailability. Bioavailability is how quickly the drug is absorbed by the body. Most injectable drugs have 100% bioavailability, meaning fast-acting.

The low bioavailability of oral medication is actually a good thing because it lowers the risk of toxicity to the liver.

Side Effects

As mentioned, Primobolan holds less of a risk of liver damage than other steroids on the market. The tradeoff is that when taken orally, the steroid is less effective when it comes to building muscle mass.

All steroids – all drugs, even – have potential side effects. Another thing to consider is every body reacts differently to the chemical ingredients in the steroids. Some of the side effects users of Primobolan might experience include:

  • Acne

People who suffer from acne can potentially expect an increase in acne outbreaks. Men are more likely to experience steroid-related acne.

  • Decreased Production of Testosterone in Men

All anabolic steroids decrease the production of testosterone in men. This is because they contain testosterone suppressors. The longer the Primobolan is used and at higher dosages, the lower the male’s testosterone will be. Estrogen supplements can help increase testosterone levels in men after they cease using anabolic steroids.

  • Increased Hair Loss For Men/Hair Growth for Women

Men who have the male-pattern baldness gene on the maternal side can potentially experience rapid, irreversible hair loss when taking anabolic steroids.

Conversely, the steroids often cause an increase in body hair growth in women.

  • Psychological Changes

Steroids are well-known for their effect on the brain, particularly psychological problems. The potential problems are so widely believed that many people thought professional wrestler Chris Benoit committed murder-suicide on his wife and young son due to brain damage caused by anabolic steroids. (In fact, he didn’t have any steroids in his system.)

However, anabolic steroids, including Primobolan, can cause mood swings, irritability, depression and even suicidal thoughts with prolonged usage. Anxiety is another common side effect.

  • Aggression

The reason so many people wrongly believe Chris Benoit was on steroids was most likely due to the fact that anabolic steroids can cause aggression. It’s called ‘roid rage and many athletes have had domestic violence incidents occur partly because of prolonged steroid use.

  • Addiction

Anabolic steroids can be highly addictive if used incorrectly. However, addiction isn’t a sign of weakness. It simply means that your brain chemistry has an unintended reaction to the drugs. It could happen to anyone and not just to drugs. People can be addicted to sugar, cigarettes, etc.

Recommended Dosage

Dosage recommendations are different depending on if you’re male or female. For men, the manufacturer of Primobolan suggests a dosage between 100 and 150mg per day for no longer than eight consecutive weeks.

Women are encouraged to stop taking the anabolic steroid after four to six weeks. The pharmaceutical company doesn’t have a suggested dosage for women, but 25 – 50 mg daily is what female athletes reportedly take.

These recommended dosages are for the oral version of the steroid.

Primobolan is illegal to manufacture or sell in the U.S. It was banned by the FDA back in the late 1980s. It is still manufactured in some European countries. However, the only way to purchase it is from the black market on the internet.

This makes purchasing anabolic steroids dangerous – you could be arrested or receive unknown substances masquerading as steroids. Being on the black market also drives up prices to ridiculous levels. A little internet sleuthing reveals that the product sells from anywhere between $75 to $500. When buying online, you’re encouraged to buy only from reputable sources

Orally administered Primobolan has many benefits for enhancing performance if you don’t mind putting yourself at risk for jail time by purchasing a drug that might be banned in your country. Anabolic steroids are generally bad for the liver, but this product has lower toxicity than other steroids.

When using steroids, it’s important to remember that self-regulation and moderation are the best ways to prevent becoming dependent on the drug. Anabolic steroids can help improve your physical appearance, including building muscle and losing fat. However, if the user isn’t careful, there can be drastic psychological side effects that vastly outweigh winning competitions.
