Mochi step one: Cut into 1-2 inch squares.

Cut Mochi into 1-2 inch squares. Each package yields 9-12 squares. One average serving is about 3 squares.

Mochi step 2: bake at 450 about 8 minutes

Pre-heat oven to 450º. Spread Mochi squares well apart and bake about 8 minutes or until puffed and slightly browned.

Mochi step three: crispy outside, hollow inside and chewy bottom

Mochi should be crispy on the outside, with a hollow inside and chewy along the bottom. Terrific as is, stuffed with your favorite fillings, or dipped in sauces.
